Richard's User Story

Hi,

I am not really a Research Hardware Engineer, I am actually a Research Software Engineer and I am the web master for the Research Hardware Engineer site.

How did I get involved with the Research Hardware Engineer community?

I just happen to work closely with John Darlington at Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. John often comes to me with some problem he faces in using online media to support the communities he is trying to develop and support. And so it was with this site. John came to me and as he often does painted a picture of what he was trying to achieve. He also gave me some direction in terms of following the previous ideas on SoC Labs and also of the Research Software Engineer community.

If you have any ideas how the site can be improved feel free to add a comment below and I will see what I can do to help.

Richard,

Thanks for all your help getting the initial site up and running so I could launch the community at DATE 25. I know it was very short notice and so all your help and support is appreciated greatly, as it always is.

If we ever implement rewards on the site, you get the first ...  (I would have added a smiley icon if I knew how!! )

John.
